Marketing Strategies for Website?
I have recently completed a website called http://www.themilliondirhamhomepage.com which is basically modelled after the world-famous http://www.themilliondollarhomepage.com. This website will focus on advertisers from Dubai and the Middle East region predominantly. So far, I have thought of advertising in the local newspaper 2 or 3 times, followed by banner ads on popular local sites. In addition, I will also use contacts such as Marketing Managers to get some ‘good names’ on the website for free of cost, but in the long-term the idea of this project is to make money. As such, I would appreciate if people could give their own input into some good marketing strategies to get this website fully filled up and make a profit.

Actually there are many ways to generate traffic to your site either pay or free.
Send Solo Ad.
Put your website to google search engine. But you must know how to get into the top rank. Remember most peoples won’t keep patient to read after the 20 Page Rank.
Post articles to free article directories is the most effective ways.
Start a blog.
Participate in forum discussion.
And many more.
You can use the above methods to generate traffic for free.
